GENERAL ANIMALS
Alpacas
Alpacas like us come from South America. Our names are Mr Frosty and Memphis. We are snooty and stuck up, and we think we are the most important animals in the farm! As a result we don't have many friends, but Sunny the llama likes us. He is our best friend, and if we can't see him you'll hear us cry! People use our wool for knitting and weaving.
Bantam
We like to think that we are the most colourful fowl on the farm! We think that we are much smarter than that puffed-up peacock! We spend our days scratching in the gound and fluffing around making ourselves beautiful. We are good mums, and look after our little chickens carefully.
Ducks
We are the Miniature Silver Appleyard ducks. You might think our name is a bit strange: we were named after the man who developed the Appleyard breed, but we are much smaller, and much more rare than ordinary Appleyard ducks! We like to keep the rabbits company.
Emu
Our names are E & MU! (Pete calls us by other names, but we think he's rude, so you will have to ask him!)We like to eat sunglasses... we don't really know why, because we're not very clever! We also love to splash around in water so Pete puts a hose out for us to play in when it's hot.

Guinea Pigs
We are very small and very cute. My name is Shirley, and I am in charge of the guinea pigs. I love a gentle cuddle from our visitors! I bet you didn't know that boy guinea pigs are called boars, and girls are called sows, just like real pigs!

Ostrich

Hi my name is Dianna Shaw or Ollie to my friends.  I am the largest bird at Spring Grove and love to take bread from your hand.

Possum
My name is Socky Sue. I don't really like to see people during the day, and you will probably find me snoozing in the bottom of my treehouse home.
Peafowl
Hello I am Captain Ken the peacock and I live here with Private Ben my friend and several girl peafowl. If you are lucky you map find one of my tail features to take home.
Rabbits
There are twelve different breeds living here. We live in the smartest lodgings on the farm ... come and see our lovely homes! We usually have some babies here for you to look at and cuddle.
Sheep
There are six different breeds of rare sheep in our family. The karakuls are the oldest known breed of sheep in the world. We come from the Middle East. Pete and Jude bottle-feed our lambs in season, so most of us are pretty friendly!
